Lydia is a second-year Master of Social Work student at UVM. Lydia comes to Eden Valley with experience working with adolescents in nature-based therapy and a background in Psychology and Sociology. Working with youth is inspiring for Lydia, as she began her therapy journey as a teen and found this support impactful.Lydia is guided by the desire to uncover the ‘why’ behind our behavior. When we interrogate our beliefs about ourselves and others, we are able to better understand the choices that we make. We are then able to open up space for new ways of thinking about the world around us.Lydia is particularly interested in the impacts of trauma and attachment on sense of self. While exploring other modalities, Lydia is drawn to narrative therapy. In her free time, you can find Lydia riding her mountain bike, running on Vermont’s trails, or reading a novel.
