But with gentle support and encouragement, they recently managed a trip to Ben & Jerry’s—rating it just a “3” on their personal anxiety scale. They’ve even named their anxiety “Eggplant,” describing it as something they “don’t want to grow.” It may seem small, but this journey from fear to freedom is a giant step, and we couldn’t be prouder.
